Rental terms
The terms that govern every booking made through RAYA, between the renter and the rental company. You see them before you book, and your contract prints the version you accepted.

1. Who this agreement is between
This agreement is between the renter named below and the rental company named below. RAYA is a marketplace that lists the vehicle and records the booking. It is not a party to the rental and does not own the vehicle. Responsibility for the vehicle, its handover and its return rests with the rental company.
2. Payment
The amount is paid to the rental company at the branch on collection, in the currency and by the method stated in this agreement. RAYA never receives, forwards or holds your money, and never holds your card details. The price stated is the price agreed at booking and does not move with the exchange rate: the dollar price and the pound price are two independent prices set by the branch.
3. The deposit
The deposit stated is taken on collection and returned after the vehicle is returned and inspected, less anything properly due under this agreement. The deposit is not part of the rental charge.
4. The driver and the licence
The renter named in this agreement is the driver and must hold a valid driving licence at collection. Nobody else may drive the vehicle unless an additional driver has been registered with the branch. The branch checks the licence at handover.
5. Using the vehicle
The vehicle is for ordinary use on made roads. It may not be raced, used for driving instruction, used to carry anything unlawful, or sub-let. Traffic offences and fines during the rental period are the renter's.
6. Returning the vehicle
The vehicle is returned to the branch stated, at the time stated. Lateness is charged at the rate agreed in this agreement. Fuel and distance are settled according to the return policy stated below.
7. Damage
The vehicle is inspected at handover and at return, and both inspections are recorded. Damage appearing between the two is the renter's, within the limits of this agreement and of any protection taken. The renter must tell the branch immediately about any accident or damage.
8. Cancellation
A booking may be cancelled before the collection time under the company's policy shown on the booking page. A booking not collected at its time may be cancelled by the branch.
9. Your information
Your information is used to complete this rental and is shared with the rental company named, because it is the party handing you the vehicle. RAYA does not ask for or upload images of your documents.
